I love that green top, too, though I'd have to get rid of the button closing it at the collar--looks like it would be uncomfortable and chokey. The pink-and-cream skirt on the cover is also super-cute. Both pieces are great, but of the two, I'm likely to the wear the sweater a lot more often. And I'm too cheap to shell out for Koigu for a skirt that might not get much wear.

So I was actually thinking about looking for the green yarn online this afternoon, but don't have my mag with me and can't remember what kind it is. Can any of you kind souls tell me what yarn the pattern calls for?

You mean the cropped one with the keyhole collar, yes? It takes 6 (7,8) 50g balls of Anny Blatt Luoxor in #743 spring green.

i got the magazine too.. and thought there were some nice patterns fo ra change. I liked the cropped jacket on  pg 77.. I'm hunting down the yarn for that now.. (^_^).. its very rare that u see very fitted knitting patterns.. I luvvvv the dress on page 65. i don't know if I'm that ambitious to take on a project like that tho.

Thanks, gwaernardel!

And I agree with you on the presence of more fitted patterns, apixiegrl. I hate big, boxy sweaters, so it's a refreshing change for me.  Smiley

I got my copy earlier this week and I am about 1/3 of the way through the cover skirt - I have adjusted it to make it for my daughter who wears girls size 12.  I also really like the Cami and the Collared tank ut I'm not sure how they would look on a larger woman.

i loved this issue!!!
the longsleeved hooded jacket on pg83  is amazing...I want to do one in a bright rusty red colour for fall...maybe with some nice round wooden buttens

what do you think?

the shirt with the sinched waist on 92  is neat too
and the more comlicated cardigan on 101 is sick!!! maybe I'll do it in a peacock blue

oh who am I kidding....I've got to finish what Im working on now...I cant get too excited

We like exactly the same things!  But I have about 5 other things I really love too.  I thought it was a great issue.

I just finished the cable/seed top, now I'm trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to block it.  I just started that retro lacy shirt(dont remember the #/title)!

Oooh, dexterchikk, don't forget to post some pics of your finished cable/seed top. That one is on my list, and I'd love to see how yours came out.  Smiley

I bought this yesterday, and there are several things I will probably make (eventually!  my list of things to knit is a mile long, so I probably wont actually get round to knitting anything from this one till next summer lol)...

I like some of the cami's (the nicky epstine one is gorgeous!), and the corset, and I also like the one with the crochet squares on the front, and the blue top with the fitted pannel round the waist, plus the hooded long-sleved cardi/jacket - I may make that one quite soon......

but there was certainly enough for me to justify buying it........
