Inspired by this post, I simply had to try my hand at making some Chuck Taylor booties.  As my first knitted booties ever, I wanted to make something cute and rockin'!  Also, they were a gift to some very good friends, the ladies that walk my dogs and who just had a lovely little boy named Lucas Logan - otherwise known as L.L. Cool Baby.  Following a modified 'knitty gritty' Ugg booties pattern and some of the pattern that was posted in the thread, I made some really awesome two needle bootes.

To make more of an authentic "rubber sole" I reverse stockinette-ed a few rows, then I threw a black row in there and then finished the reverse stockinette.  I returned to the ugg pattern after that to do the foot part and then to the modified ugg pattern to make the uppers of the shoes.

To finish, i sewed a red star button and a white felt circle onto the outer side of each bootie.  The laces are crocheted chains, since I'm also trying to learn how to crochet.  This is my first posted project so sorry if I mess something up.

I don't know much about baby foot sizes, so I hope they fit Smiley

Those are adorable! Baby booties tend to get alittle boring but these are awesome.

These are freakishly adorable!! I'm going to have to make some! Although...I will have to find out about the sizes because my son has rather fat little feet. My hubby would truly appreciate this.
