I just adore EVERYTHING about your ensemble--your coat, flower pin, scarf and darling gloves...the juxtaposition of it all rocks!

Oh my gosh!  So cute!!!  I love, love, love your whole outfit and the mittens are the perfect finishing touch.  I am all about the black, pink and white/cream colour scheme and you are my hero rockin' it like you do! Wink

I so want a pair!  I'm going to find that pattern and send it to my pro-knitter mom-in-law and see if she can modify the pattern (maybe make the head portion a bit shorter and add some whiskers...) to make me kitty mittens, maybe black ones like my cute kitty Mona Mew!  How exciting! Smiley

Or... I am now thinking, for those of us that don't have knitting skills to make our own gloves, that you could take a purchased pair of gloves and still knit in the ears (or sew on fabric ones), use a duplicate stitch for the collar, and then add in the other features.

The crafty side of my brain is racing now!  Must get me some plain mittens and give this a try!  Thank you so much for posting this cute idea!

Oh!  I just checked the site and realized that you modified a pattern for plain mittens to make your cute mitts.  Well done!  I hope you don't mind me wanting to make a pair of my own...

I should also find and post a pattern I have in one of my books that is a similar idea except instead of animals, the mitts are little people.  Cute, but not as cute as yours! Smiley

Thanks everyone! Smiley  The person in the photo is actually my sister.  (I made the mittens for her)  I do like her outfit a whole lot too.  She's the best dressed person I know.

Mona Mew that idea of taking pre made gloves and mittens and adding the face features is great!  I might do that when I get sick of knitting all of my friends mittens

So cute! How did you do the eyes and nose? I can't quite tell from the pic. Are they just embroidered on or actually knit?
Thanks!
Simone
