mmmfruit, you are so beyond appreciative, it makes me feel so good! I am already so glad I did this swap, and I haven't even seen your package yet!

Stifflersmom, yep, I think you should receive very soon...I hope you like yours too!  All the packages I sent so far have been completely different (I tried to liken them to what people said their tastes were).

Yay!

final fantasy potion commercial is here -- http://youtube.com/watch?v=hg9bQPoUf_4

it's an energy drink made by a popular beverage company in japan (suntory) in promotion of the latest final fantasy game (final fantasy xii). although, i've heard the drink itself tastes horrible lol. there's a video on youtube where people described it as "spicy flowers" "medicine, but lighter" and "turtles" lol!

the premium box is for collecting purposes, since it has the collector's crystal cap & the trading card that comes with the box. ^^

catisoutside - i think i'll be getting yours in the mail on saturday (tomorrow) via global priority mail Cheesy

Ok prepare to be seriously jealous, because I received my wonderful swap package from mmmfruit today!!! She was supposed to make me 2 things, but I opened the package only to find that the sneaky mmmfruit had included much more, and I love ALL of it!  She included TWO lovely hand-crocheted hats, and an adorable set of 6 hand-crocheted sushi magnets (that I have currently displayed on my fridge with pride, and I'll always have to remind me of Japan when I leave), a wonderful crocheted necklace with a white pendant, a pair of pretty dangly earrings from the Phillippines, and a coveted bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (we can't get them here in Japan!)  Here are the pics of the loot for you to envy:

Group shot of everything:

Closeup of the sushi magnets, the necklace, and the earrings:

Action shot of me with the two wonderful cranberry hats, and the necklace:

Imagine the hours spent crocheting!  Could I be more spoiled?  I will treasure everything (except the Reeses, which I will treasure for about one hour until I finish them all)  Embarrassed  Thanks SO much mmmfruit!!!

What a great bunch of goodies! I'm glad the pendant I made for you is different. Phew! Cheesy
I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. Waiting is soooo hard!

Can you tell me about that wooden doll in the background of your pic? I have four of them I found at the thrift store. I have no idea what they are all about, but I had to adopt them. Cheesy

I'm so sorry yours hasn't arrived yet!  I hope it comes really soon...stupid international shipping, you can never guess how long it will take...

Oh! The wooden dolls are both Japanese kokeshi dolls.  You are so lucky to have found 4 at a thrift store...they can be worth a lot of money.  But even better, they're wonderful.  I have been told that kokeshi dolls were made to represent the spirit of children, among other things.  The tall one I found at a thrift store as well (and is more of the antiquey style) and the small one my boyfriend bought (for himself, he likes them...cute right?).  I love them- I have even featured some in my reconned thrift art (Magical Marsh Nymph *with kokeshi doll dragonflies*) for the craft challenge that's going on right now.
