Here's my second handmade purse. I used fabrics from IKEA and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Sure, I broke the needle on my sewing machine, but I have plenty of spares and this purse will meet my needs. It's big enough for my wallet, cell phone and a book!

Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions you craftsters make!

Does it have a closure? Zipper? Snap? Etc?

I really like the fabric choice...and the size!

First off, thanks so much for all of the comments. They're really encouraging to me and I feel motivated to work on improving my sewing skills.

Second, yes I sewed a snap closure on the inside. This style of bag would probably work best with a zipper, but I haven't sewn zippers before I'm a bit intimidated by them. Smiley Maybe next time.

Thanks again!

I love that fabric! I have heard so many good things about Ikea, I wish we had one around here.

That bag is great and I adore that fabric. I've become obsessed w/ leaves and that print is just beautiful!
