I wish I had before pictures, but I don't. Just picture white walls, mattress on the floor and very old faded storebought wallyworld spiderman.

I decorated this room for my son's 9th birthday as a surprise. I thought it would kill me by the end, but it was fun mostly Smiley We just finished today. It's really the first thing I've ever felt good enough about to show here Tongue

I made the curtains, drapes, doorknob dillybob, pennants, comforter, pillows, tablecloth and paintings. I painted the frames and stained all of the baskets/boxes in the bookcase. The futon is a hand-me-down from a friend, we only bought a few pieces.

I still have some finishing details to do- but it's "complete" enough to live in until I get around to it!

We took the closet doors off, put my son's dresser inside to give him more floor space, and then made drapes to cover the doorway:

What a lucky boy!  He must feel like he has his own private wonderworld now!  Couldn't help noticing the dragon collection (I collect dragons too) - too too magnificent!

Amazing! Its nice to see a childs room that isn't stereotypical 'boy' or 'girl' stuff. I love the coffee table/treasure chest!

Oh, wow! That is so awesome. I would have loved a room like that when I was a kid! I'm a girl, but still. Heh, he looks so happy with it!

That's amazing Smiley.  That treasure chest is too cool, and i <3 the doorknob dillybob.  Those are really nice colours, and I adore the torches and dragons Wink.  And the pennants <3.  Your son is incredibly lucky.

I see someone likes IKEA.   Grin

Great choices!  I love the dragon/dungeon theme going on.

Heh, yeah I love me some Ikea. I have to drive four hours round trip to get there, but I just can't not go. Tongue
