I got this recipe from a friend of mine a few months ago, she didnt know the exact name of these yummy cookies.I'm not sure what to call this recipe but they are cookies made from a cake mix.. so I came up with cookie cakes Tongue For all I know they may already have a name.

1 box of cake mix ( I've used Devil's food and Lemon...YUM!)
1 large egg
8oz of cool whip
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Stir all ingrediants together except the powdered sugar. Coat your hands with powdered sugar and roll the dough into little balls(2-3 in.)....you can sprinkle on more powdered sugar if you like. Bake for around 10 minutes. My oven cooks things way too fast. So you might wanna leave them for a couple of extra minutes.
They will make about 2 1/2 dozen.

They're super easy to make but everytime I make them I make a HUGE mess Smiley But they are delicious and worth it!

Celebrate we will-
for life is short but sweet for certain.

Sounds good-- I've only heard of them made with the "spice cake" mix before. I resolve to try the devil's food...

When in doubt, sauerkraut.

ive made these before with just devils food cake and i agree they r great! but my special touch was adding the chocolate and caramel candy ROLOS just pushed inside so when u bite into it u get warm cocolate and caramel ooozing out!!
u might have to make cookie/cake dough a lil bigger then 2-3 in. to cover the ROLOS
