hi all!
i made this diaper bag as a birthday present for my friend john's wife (their little girl's name is mckenna...) anyway, it was my first attempt at something like this. i think it turned out okay, but since i don't have kids i'm not sure if it's got all the practicalities that a diaper bag should have. i used an old mccall's pattern, #4403. i just mailed it to them, so i don't know what she'll think yet. hope y'all like it though!!!

the bag:

thanks for lookin'!!  Cheesy

Shocked  Wow.....that's fantastic.  Looks like it's got all the pockets a nappy bag could ever need.  I LOVE the two different ways to carry it.  I'm sure they'll LOVE it!!  Great job!

I love it.  I looks like a good diaper bag...but I don't have kids, so maybe I'm not the best judge of that.

I have that exact fabric.  I used it to make a purse, but it works great as a diaper bag.

As a mother of 19, that bag would really suit me too.  It's superb!  I love the pattern, and it looks sturdy and strong - just what one needs.

thanks everybody! you've really helped me feel a bit more confident about this commission. i was apprehensive when he first asked me to do it, but he didn't seem too worried when i told him i'd never done one, so i just went ahead...i really appreciate all the feedback!

That is so much better than a diaper bag with teddy bears or duckies. I love it!
