hi everyone! i got a new puppy for christmas (a poo-pom) and though i have made many a bandana for special occasions for her, this is the first time i've actually attempted a garment. i used mccall's pattern 4686 and added a little sublime stitching embrodery on one side. all in all i'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but it is a bit too large around her belly, so i need to take it in a little bit. does anyone have any advice on fitting a really tiny dog? she's only 6 pounds and very squirmy when you try to measure her...i guess it's just going to be one of those trial and error things! anyway, let me know what you think or how i could improve it! thanks!

Oh my. I nearly past out from all the cuteness. Gertie is too adorable.

Not only is it well made and reversible, it has nifty embroidery.

As far as sizing goes, I had the same problem with my Chihuahua. I usually use soft stretch fabrics, and just make the garment reasonably smaller. Or I use soft Velcro and make a few rows of it, so it will be adjustable.

OMG!!! Gertie is beautiful! You did so good! Tell her to leave her pretty clothes on, even though her pretty face is definately cute enough!

and thanks for the tip nifty! i think i'll try the velcro trick on this one first. next time i'll try to adjust the belly width...if she'll sit still long enough... Cheesy

Soooper cute!  I love that.  And Gerdie is adorable!  My mom has a Pomapoo, but he just looks like a fat pom.  My pom hates hoods, but they look so DARN CUTE with them on!  Love it!
