I made this wrap skirt for a friend, and she wanted a tree embroidered on the bottom edge. And I happily obliged. Here's the tree...

and if we're wondering, here's the skirt (before I started the tree, obviously):


I also made a similiar-style wrap skirt for myself, and put a fish on it, for no reason. mainly for fun, I think. Anyway, that's here:

I did the fish first, sort of a practice round, before I did the tree, since the friend is paying for the skirt, and I didn't want to send her some crap...

alternating. you know what I mean? I'm sure it's got a name.. then when the twigs were thin, just a regular satin stitch, i suppose.
