My friend is pregnant and her baby was due last weekend, I was running hopelessly behind and thought I'd never get finished in time but thankfully her baby helped me out, he's still hanging in there Wink
Last night I got it finished, I've never crocheted anything so monotonous in my life and it's only baby sized!!!
I had best go and see her and let the little guy know that I am done and it's OK to come out now Grin

It looks very funky. I am a huge fan of funky baby blankets.

And I totally understand about the monotony. I just finished knitting a fairly simple blanket and while the recipent was grateful, it was boring. (And her baby was 2 months early, so I was not quite so lucky)

Very nice blanket!

I used cheap and cheerful Red Heart Soft Baby. Smiley
I was completely suprised to find it here in Tassie. I read so much about it here on craftster and had never encountered it before. I checked the whole store and the baby yarn is the only Red Heart they carry, how odd  Roll Eyes

I'm in the process of crocheting a baby blanket for a friend back east that's due in August. It's made up of granny squares in shades of blue, the more I work on it the more I'm worried I won't be able to part with it when I'm done! I don't have any children, but by the time I finish the damn thing I might have grandkids that could use it.

I do love the blanket though, I like the yarn. It's gorgeous and just spunky enough to not be 'normal' baby fair. Good on ya!

Oh my god, stare at the blanket and scroll up and down- LSD TRIP!  Tongue
Lovely colors, and i agree about the monotony thing, i'm crocheting a cardigan and it's the most boring thing I've ever done.

i really like the yarn colors. Smiley

i've been crocheting a baby blanket for my sis-in-law's sister's second baby... he was due at the end of May... but lucky me, he came 6 weeks early. so, even though i'm so tired of crocheting on this one project, i won't let myself do anything else until it's done. lol

I love the color!

Monotony is the reason I stick to baby blankets - I can usually handle it that long but if I'm going to make a larger one, it has to be something interesting and fun to make!
