Swap name: CRAFTY LITTLE FOXES MIX CD SWAP
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: Mr. Breakfast
Sign-up date range: 7.1.04 to 7.15.04
Date to send item by: 7.30.04

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): nope

Non-U.S. participants allowed? Why yes

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages (under 18 get your parents permission)

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Details of swap:

This will provide us all an opportunity to share music and common interests with our fellow craftsters.  There are no guidelines to the type of music you include on your CD.  Of course, decorating the CD and Case will be equally important.  I think most people would be disappointed to get a boring blank CD covered with sloppily scrawled permanent marker.  The art of the Mix Tape is fading, I think it's time for us to bring it back.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?
What kind of music do you prefer (that doesn't mean that's what you'll be getting)?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

I'm going to put mine in a "larger" box (not that big, but bigger than the average size of a cd) so it doesn't look like I'm sending a cd. If asked, I'll just lie (..heh)

Are we having a limit on the number of cds we make? Cause I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I usually end up making at least two (Sometimes 3) cds when I do this......I have no self control  Cry  Just a question...

1. they know it's "media maill" if you send it media mail rate (it's cheaper than 1st class)
2. you wouldn't be in trouble.  mix cds aren't illegal.  they have no way of knowing if the songs on the CD have been downloaded illegally or if they were copied from your own CDs that you bought at the store.  mix CDs of muisc you bought yourself are totally legit.  but if you're still worried, just send the CD first class.

I think that media mail only works for things like aol disks and advertisements etc... It doesn't have to be a disk or anything, it just has to be sent to many unspecific people.  If you are making a personal correspondance I think you have to mail 1st class.  They won't really go through you're stuff or anything, they will just send it back or make the reciever pay the extra shipping. Anyhoo, with a CD it is only like $1.50 difference.  Its pretty rare that they will even consider your piece but then again there is the chance.
