i've been practicing stitches for awhile now, usually on left-over fabric or stuff i was going to throw away. so i pretty much just started doing embroidery in the last month or two. i bought some patterns from Jenny and i finally completed my first embroidery project! it didn't take long at all! i had so much fun doing it and i can't wait to make gifts for friends/family!

i'm on this huge embroidery kick now... i feel like embroidering everything!

for this cupcake tshirt, i used:
1.) Sublime Stitching pattern ("Krazy Kitchen")
2.) an iron
3.) old pair of scissors
4.) embroidery thread in brown, pink, and red
5.) green plastic hoop to hold fabric
6.) embroidery needle
7.) white shirt (not pictured)

and here's the results! i whipped this little dessert out in less than 30mins!
that's much faster than what my oven could do  Wink

i was thinking of filling in the "icing" part with French Knots (i think that's what they're called?) with different colors so it would look like sprinkles! but i kind of like the simplicity of it now.

i LOVE anything food-related, so i can't wait to use all of the transfers in the "Krazy Kitchen" patterns on tea towels and more shirts and tanktops (for the spring/summer)!

i even got my dog's paw of approval  Cheesy  haha, cheesy, i know.

the next project i'd like to start on is pillowcases for my boyfriend & i. he's really into pirates and skulls, so i think i'm going to use Jenny's pirate patterns for them and also try embroidering our names on each pillowcase. i'm a little nervous about that, my handwriting is far from "pretty". haha!

anyway, thank you for taking the time to look at this! take care!

Yes, I know what you mean about wanting to embroider everything... I have a pile of shirts from Target that I can't wait to get to...

Wow! Thanks Jenny!! That encourages me to keep embroidering! Cheesy

And thank you wandalicious! Even when I'm not crafting it up and I'm busy doing something, I've been daydreaming lately of making my own patterns and thinking, I can't wait to get home and start stitchingggg! Embroidering has become my new addiction!  Wink
