Here's a handpainted lazy susan I made for my Aunt's 50th birthday... Grin
It says, "Ain't Life Grand? Ain't Life Nifty?  Let's Have Cake 'Cause Netta's 50!"

I also added a picture of my most favorite lazy susan with a super cute dog decoupaged on it.  It's really cute when the dog is "spinning" around!

Cool!

Where did you get the lazy-susans to begin with?

I bought a round (pre-cut) piece of wood--like a small table round-- from Home Depot.  The lazy susan mechanism is around $4 and i got that at Menard's.  You just screw it in to the wood round with 4 screws.

Thanks for the... erm, lazy susan making instructions firehead4.  I'm going to make some different sized ones for my craft collection and kitchen.  I never even thought about making those before.

here's a funny idea for your (ahem) lazy susan, susan...

decoupage a picture of your face on the wood and then underneath it, write "Not So Lazy"
Your friends and fam will get a kick out of it!
Oh and you can make yourself "dizzy" when you spin it!! hahaha
