I found a pattern in one of my crochet mags for a top using this cute daisy pattern, so decided to make a shrug with it using the the typical rectangle-sewn-up-the-arms deal. The yarn is recycled from a thrift-store sweater (I felt so bad unravelling someone's hard work!) and is baby blue with a bit of sparkle to it, which didn't come out in the photos.

The pattern for this stitch can be found in my blog.

I was thinking of adding a row of sc's or dc's around the opening and at the end of the sleeves, but the pattern doesn't really allow it because I don't know how I would stitch in the horizontal petals. Any ideas?

I positively adore that.  Inspiring.  I'm gonna have to locate a stitch pattern I like, dig out the yarn (or perhaps even use a gorgeous purple thread I bought specifically to make a shrug) and get crochetin'!

Thats enough to make me want to crochet again. It looks so good on you too. And no I don't see a way around the horizontal petals. If you really want some sort of edge you're going to have to attach some lace or something. But I think it looks great just how it is.

That's beautiful!  Grin

Anyone know how I might search for a similar pattern online?  I've looked a little, but I don't know what to call it, except 'daisy' and then I get flowers!  It's such a pretty pattern, I thought it would look great as a scarf.  Wink
