I started these projects at Halloween & just finished this week---phew!  The scarf is double knit, which took the longest.  It saved me lots of end-weaving, but good golly!!  Anyhoo, on to the pics!

I'll update with an action shot of the cutie pie who'll be wearing this set next winter!

They're both gorgeous.

I love seeing different shaped hats, and the reverse colouring on the scarf looks great.  Smiley Smiley

Well done!

Wow! That's adorable! Where'd you get the pattern? If you wrote it, could you share it?? Pretty please?? The hat reminds me of the one in Last Minute Knitted Gifts.

Thanks for the compliments!   Grin

The pixie hat came from Amy Singer's Knit Wit---I just fiddled with the math to adjust for a DK yarn.  I love that book!

The scarf I made up.  I made a chart for the snowflake, added a few stitches on either end of the chart and just knit until it looked like the right size. The fake fur got added fringe-style.  If you'd like a copy of the chart, just email me at lesleycayton at gmail dot com and I'll send it your way!

The scarf is great! Your double knitting looks fantastic. Just wondering, is your fake fur made out of yarn or fur fabric? It looks so cute!

Thanks!  The fake fur is Jaeger Fur---it's a yarn, built mostly from wool & feels very soft yet fuzzy to the touch.  So yummy!  You can find it on the internet in lots of different colors.

I love them! The colors and the snowflakes are awesome. And it's a keyhole scarf, right?

The scarf looks great. I love double knit things, and the snowflake pattern is terrific.

Is the hat also double knit, or was that just the scarf?

Thanks guys!  Yes, the scarf has a keyhole & it's the only item in the pics that's truly double knit.  The hat also has two knitted layers, but I worked the layers seperately 'cause that went so much faster.  I had to learn to hold a strand of yarn in each hand for the scarf & that was really hard!  I got faster at it, but in the beginning I was knitting one double knit row every 15 minutes...
