oh ya, don't take short cuts!
Craftydeb, that is really weird about a big huge chunk of yarn being off color! Did the piece end up looking cool or just too weird?

Please use the Help Desk for moderator questions.  I'm not currently available full-time.  Thanks!

I'd love to send you some hand spun for a poppet!

You know it was for a piece for Caron and fortunately it was on the back side so they told me not to rip it out and start over.  They were in a hurry to get it.  It was actually for the tastefully tweed ruana.

It was just weird looking in the end.  Kind of like the blotch on Jupiter... just a big blotch.  It was not a good thing.  If I had  more yarn I would have redone it that's for sure.  I have never seen anything like it and never seen it since.  I'll see if I have a picture somewhere of it.  I'm sure I took a picture and sent it to them!  Okay.  Nope.  I can't find a picture of the  blotch.

If I ever come upon it I will post it right away though!  It was just weird - it was actually plied in with the yarn - almost like oops, we dropped a bit of dark color in to the vat while it was being spun...
