Wow... you all will make me shy.
Thanks for the kind words.

And cantafruit, the time it cost me to make these really depend on how much decoration i put on. And which kinds.
A basic clutch doesn't take me too long. And I'm pretty quick with drawing up patterns if i want to make changes.
Off these clutches, the white one took me the longest too make. Just because of the decoration i put on.
I handsewn an old broken necklace onto it. Used heavy colorless thread and did it twice to make sure it will stay on.
The one with the butterfly on it took way less time. That's just a iron-on patch. You can imagine the difference.

Btw I've edited the first post because i noticed the link didn't work. Silly me, sorry.

I have a question about construction, do you make your clutches do you start with a rectangle and just fold the bottom half up (after sewing the outer fabric and lining together obviously) and sew it shut so that you have "exposed" edges?  or do you fold the side edges over before sewing the bottom closed?  I ask because I made a little envelope clutch for myself the other day and just folded the bottom up and sewed up the edges, it looks nice but was looking for a way to make one where the edges look a little more finished.

thanks for reading my long winded question.  Wink

Those are so cute! Your fabric choices are awesome as well. I agree with jellybaby in requesting a tut!
