I can finally post this, since my swap partner has received :-)
I made this small purse for the chocolate swap.. I found a pretty chocolate-themed fabric on ebay, and used that for the lining. For the exterior I used a heavy felted wool, that I bought from a haute couture fabrics discount! I fell in love with this fabric as soon as I saw it.. hehe.. I wish I had bought more. Then I added pleats and a zipper following the great tutorial by tinafish (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=35575.0)
.
I hope you like the result, here it is:

Damn, I wish I was your swap partner, that bag is great!
Did the fabric come with the rick-rack and yarn attached?  It's so cute

Yep, the fabric was about 150cm tall and with a repetition of the yarn motif every 50-60cm.. It came like that, I don't know how it was felted but looks and feels great IMHO!! As soon as I can I am definitely going to see if they have more. The guy said it was very cheap at 20euro/meter since it normally would cost like 60 or more  Shocked They carry all kinds of stock fabric.. so you can always find new stuff. I love that place!!

PS: As soon as I get my sewing machine back I am going to make another one for myself.. if you wanna I can make one for you too :-) Are you in some swap I can join? lol

Oooooooh, I love you so much.
I'm in about 4 swaps at the mo ( Shocked), maybe we can do a private one?
I can't think what clothes you could cut from that fabric, is the felting a bit overwhelming on a large scale?

Well I was thinking the same thing.. perhaps a skirt? A coat or jacket would probably be too much.. hehe

That linning fabric is so much like the one I used for the swap. It took me a second to realize it wasn't the same one.

P.S.  I  Love the bag!
