Swap name: Fat Quarters or 1/2 Yard Pieces Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: loves2experiment
Sign-up date range: 03/14/06 – 03/22/06

Non-U.S. participants allowed? Absolutely!

All ages allowed? Yes (Parental consent required for those under 16!)

Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: Yes

DETAILS OF SWAP:

Another fabric swap!!!  This time round, you’ll either be sending out six (6) fat quarters (approximately 18 inches by 22 inches) OR three (3) 1/2 yard pieces of fabrics to your partner.  In return, you will have the option of receiving either six (6) fat quarters or three (3) 1/2 yard pieces of fabrics.  Wanna play?  Please read the rules for this swap before signing up!

RULES:

1. No actual ‘crafting’ time is required for this swap.  Instead, you should invest that time in trying to fulfill your partner’s request (based on his/her answers to the swap questionnaire).

2. Delivery Confirmation Numbers will be required for swap packages that are being sent within the United States.  I'm gonna be pretty firm about this rule!  If you’re sending a package to another country, or if you don’t reside in the United States, please save your receipts!  Remember to send the DCN info to your swap partner(s) and the organizer (that would be me, loves2experiment) when you have mailed your swap package(s).

3. Please send all swap packages by the stipulated deadline of April 03, 2006 (Monday)!  If you have a legitimate reason for missing the deadline, please contact your partner(s) and myself via pm as soon as possible.

hahaha!

I was a t the fabric store a couple weeks ago and was talking to the cutting table lady and said something about my stash (which currently is 2 but rubbermaid tubs FILLED pluss 3 drawers) and she looks down her damn nose at me and says "you must be a beginner!" I wanted to shove her scissors up her nose! I mean come on! fabric superiority complex much??

sorry. had to share my stash story (which 90% of the people i hang out with would assume its a different kinda of "stash" lol)

I have never been a hoarder but with all this swapping I've just started. I hate having to go to the fabric store for every partner. Hopefully in a year I'll have a mini store of my own! I have a TON of Alexander blue fashion girls and yellow and green disco dots by michael miller if anyone wants that. I can always sell some too if you are interested in quantity. I can give the super discounted rate of $5 a yard. Just pm me!

How rude.   I am not a beginner but I would say that my fabric stash would be about 6 - 8 rubbermaid tubs or maybe 10  depending on the size of the tub.  I am always sewing so my stash varies in size.   I have bought a lot of bulk fabric to make jeans and cargo pants  for myself and my husband so my stash has swelled alot recently.  Normally it isn't this big.

Oy...we're in trouble.  Not only do we have serious issues with hoarding fabrics, we also have a fabric pimp who is capitalizing on our addictions *grin*  Meet me in the back alley, PinkMafia!  I might have to get me more fabric to curb my addiction till the swap begins!!!
