Congratulations Carliegirl!  You'll be holding your new little one any day now.

I LOVE your dress!!!  Did you use a maternity pattern?  Alter a regular pattern?  or just wing it??  I'm only 8 weeks along myself, but seeing as I ballooned up huge with my last one (before I learned to sew), I'm looking for some cute things to sew (and practice sewing on now) before I really need them.  I can't get over the excellent fabric choice for your dress... so lovely.   Smiley

Thanks jutybo.  I did use a maternity pattern, http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4398.htm.  As for the fabric I found it at Wal-Mart.  It is polyester.  The material made a nice dress but my only complaint is that I kept on getting static cling like you wouldn't believe.

What a pretty dress!  I wish my maternity things had been that stylish!LOL  You hardly look preggers except for the tummy.  Have you made much for the baby?

This dress really does look fabulous!  (Actually, it's quite professional, with the lined bodice and all!)  Good luck with everything!  Your little one should be born right around my birthday!  Hee.

I haven't really made anything for the baby yet.  My MIL crochets so I have a ton of cute stuff from her.  I'll have to start making stuff for my little one soon.

that is perfect!  you did a great job. i tried a few times to make stuff when I was preggo and everything came out wrong..always shorter in the front. I did have a pretty big belly tho, all three of my boys weighed 10 lbs or so, lol.  I did manage a decent skirt when I was preggo with my daughter, but it was an under-belly. SHould I decide to have more I will check out that pattern. ok scratch that!! I  will just wait for one of my friends to get preggo again, lol.  once again, you are one beautiful preggo mama! gl with the next couple of weeks!!!

Wow, that looks fabulous on you! I agree about the waistband thing - when I was pregnant with my daughter I had no sewing ability and very little money, so I bought Wal-Mart denim overalls, and wore them to death (soooo comfy!) Next time around I'm going to try making some things - hopefully mine turn out as well as yours did!
