I'm working on my first felted project and am having my fingers crossed. Now I'm stumped and need to clarify this before I proceed....after switching to CC, it says to BO 22 stitches bn the long sides... unfortunately I have only 22 sticthes there???! how do I proceeds..... I really can't figure out where I made the mistake??
Please please somebody help!

Hi Raji,

If I remember correctly (I don't have the book in front of me) you do bind off all the stitches on the long sides and continue to knit the short sides.  The next round you'll come back and cast on 22 stitches to make up the ones you bound off thus creating the handles.  Hope this helps.

she's right, and you didn't make a mistake! Smiley you bind off the whole side, then once you get around to that part again, you cast on 22 stitches. i think that is my least fave part of knitting this bag. just be careful not to get it twisted and you'll be fine.

Just thought I'd share my finished bag. I love this pattern, but I think I will double the next one I make, this ones just a tad too small for my taste.

can anyone post or pm me the "specs" for this pattern?
ie: what kind of yarn or guage, how many skeins, size needle, etc?
(not the pattern, just what I need... I'll have my copy of SnB in two days when I get home Wink)

I might get a chance to go yarn shopping tomorrow but I'm staying at my grandparent's house right now and my stich n bitch is at home ._.;;

so, that would be great, since I'm interested in trying this one out... thanks!

I'm a relative new knitter and this part is confusing to me.  When I bo the 22 stitches do I then do the single co work the sides bo 22 again, co 22 work the side then work the rest of the rounds?
