Alright, so I'm a little biased, but I'm so pleased with this:

The green yarn is Misti Baby Alpaca Chunky, #7238 and the yellow trim is Alchemy Lonestar in Gold and Grace (on sale at Webs right now!). The backing fabric is a Kaffe Fassett print, I think. The pattern is Twin Trees from Barbara Walker's Charted Knitting Designs (page 101). I bordered it with seed stitch and the yellow is just a few rounds of single crochet.

I'm most proud of the fact that I made my own pillow form! I found the ones at JoAnn's too large and too pricey so I whipped one up with some muslin and polyfiberfil!

This is my traditional gift for Ben Lee, who I am lucky enough see in concert every few months. The last knitted thing I made for him was slightly less functional, it was a wombat (he's an Aussie). He has a great song called "We're All in This Together" http://www.ben-lee.com/full_page.php?d=lyrics/wereallinthistogether.htm and the trees reminded me of it. I'm sad to see it go, so I'll probably knit a twin pillow!

Great pillow, and by making your own filler you can get it to the right comfort you like...good idea. By the way I 'm a Ben Lee fan too!  Smiley

Thanks everyone! I have to stress how easy and quick this was--I'm the slowest crafter on the planet and from idea to finish I was done in under a week and that includes many chart-reading screw-ups. It measures about 12"X12" and the sewing was so laidback. It didn't hurt that alpaca is so luscious I never want to put it down.

Me: (sniff) I wish I could quit you...

P.S. My "extremely talented" (read: loser-y) boyfriend just whipped up this creepy little number. I was clumsily trying to illustrate my alpaca lust in MS Paint.

That is so beautiful! I love the tree motif. Did you make the chart or find it somewhere?
