Digital Cameras

I'm wanting to get a nice digital camera, good quality,and semi professional.
And i was thinking of one of these:

I'm a photographer and I use a Canon Rebel XT. I've only had it since december, but I love it. If you want to see photos i've taken with it so far, i'll upload a couple of small thumbs in photobucket.


Do you want a digicam to photograph artwork/crafts you've made or do you just want one in general?

I'd love to see some photos, I've been trying to get sample images online but its almost impossible!

I'm looking for a camera for more general photography People, landscapes,...ect.

edit: i'm working at the moment so I just quickly cropped sections of a few of my photos..







these only show about a quarter of the full shot.. sorry. >.< but hopefully they give you an idea. There is tons more I still have to learn about the Canon Rebel, so unfortunately these don't do it the justice it deserves.

happy camera searching. :] perhaps try finding sites that evaluate the pros and cons of different models. how powerful the zoom is, battery life..etc..

I have a Finepix S7000, an earlier model.

I like it very much and have been working with it this last year.

All pictures I did for Smack! magazine were done with this camera. The site is in portuguese, but I believe it is straight forward enough to navigate without the text.

If you are considering getting a digital slr, keep in mind that you will be spending a lot on lenses. It can actually become an addiction. The lenses that come with most kits will not be as sharp as the more expensive versions. The Fuji S9500 is actually a very good non-slr and performs much better than most consumer point-and-shoot cameras in low light.
