online confessions are, albeit sometimes morbidly, fascinating. go to notproud.com or grouphug.us to read pages and pages of anonymous secrerts. Postsecret.org is the best - it was originally (and still remains, i suppose) a community art project in which people mailed postcards explaining a secret to a mail box, and then the artist (one frank w-something, i believe) consolidated them into a book. reading them makes you feel so...human! they're addictive.

Thanks for all the distractions, guys! Many of them have now entered by bookmarks.

Am back to knitting. Slowly, carefully, with many rests in between rows. Even with all those distractions at my disposal, I found myself getting pretty twitchy and irritable towards the end of it. Withdrawl symptoms, I suppose. Am glad to be getting my knitting fix again!
