I am having trouble understanding a pattern it goes as follows:
Beg:RS dec row: K13(15,16,18), k2tog tbl, k1, k2tog, k13(15,16,18).
WS dec row: P12(14,15,17), p2tog, p1, p2tog tbl, p12(14,15,17)
Here is where I just dont get it....
cont as established, dec 2 sts every row and working 1 less st before and after each dec until you have 3 sts left. K3tog or p3tog (depengding on which side you are working on)-1st

when it says dec 2 stitches every row is that two more then already established decreases? and how do you work one less stitch?

I'll take a try at it...

The `dec 2 sts every row' means continue to do 2 k2tog or p2tog every row as in the setup rows. Working one less stitch just means that you'll have one less stitch (to work on) before and after the decrease because you just decreased the number of stitches per row. Try it out and see if that works and you end up with 3 stitches.
