Hey there! I just found this product that is amazing, but also has an incredibly high price tag and thought that I'd share the idea in case anyone else wanted to make one (I'm going to try and get some fleece this week since it is sale time!).

It is called the "Slanket", which is probably trademarked so I am only suggesting making one for personal use and not for sale. Here is the website: http://www.theslanket.com/

It is a blanket with sleeves! genius! These folks should win an award. I am always freezing and hate when I have to knit or type while under a blanket and can't keep my arms warm.

I plan on using fleece if I make one, and probalby blanket stitching the edges to give it a finished look. I'm not quite sure of the construction from the photos, but if I figure out the best way, I'll post it (side note, is it ok to do that? i mean, if i figure it out am i allowed to post it here or is that some form of trademark infringement?).

Now, my story begins in nineteen-dickety-two. We had to say "dickety" 'cause the Kaiser had stolen our word "twenty". I chased that rascal to get it back, but gave up after dickety-six miles

I concur...that kicks ass. If  was good at knitting I would totally make that. Maybe you could put sleeves at both ends for late night snugglin'

thats so funny--- I too saw this product and gasped at the price tag.  My boyfriend really wants one too.  If only I had a sewing machine (because it would be August before I'd finish knitting or crocheting this and who needs a blanket in August)--- when you are finished I'd love to see a finished product.

good luck.

It looks hilarious, but this is the best idea EVER. Honestly. I am making one for sure, I'm always carting my big down comforter around the house with me, so this is the perfect solution!

My kids are totally getting these for Christmas!  They also like to drag their big blankets around the house - drives me nuts!

I absolutely love this, thanks so much for the post. I am going to make one for myself. I love to read but sometimes my arms get cold and I want to put them under the blanket which makes it hard to hold the book and turn the pages. Thanks for the inspiration.
