Zen Room--straw mats as wallcovering

I love, love, LOVE this idea! I am thinking about using it for a small bedroom is my new apartment and turning it into a yoga/relaxing room. What a fantastic idea. I will post pics if/when I use this idea!

i got some of those mats to use as window shades - i haven't gotten to doing it yet, but i plan on stapling them up on the inside top sill of my window, and tack ribbons up as well to use those to tie the shade up. i'll roll it, then tie the ribbons together to hold it in place.

if i ever get around to doing it.

It looks so good! Also, as a side note, I think it's funny that this is one of the few times I've seen something described as "Zen" that actually does have something to do with Zen...we use those mats to put the bowls of food on during formal meals at our Zen retreats.
