I love that.  I've seen two home improvement shows in the last week and a half where they wanted the look of grasscloth, so they did faux finishes, which really didn't look that great.  Your solution was so innovative.

I love how something so simple (a mat) can look so sumptous on the wall like that. Beautiful!

That looks awesome! What a fabulous idea! I wonder if you could make some sort of inexpensive rolling window shades with those too...

It looks really good I think! When/if I ever move out of this apartment I want to do something like this. Our current bedroom/livingroom walls are bright orange (I kid you not) and we're not allowed to do anything about it. So I don't think thumbtacking things to the walls would work to well with my landlors Smiley

THAT is AMAZING. I am doing that to my room. I was going to paint it, but couldn't decide on a colour...but this...what is this? Am I drooling? Why yes, yes I am. You are amazing.

WOW ! WOW ! WOW !  That is such a cool idea. I had some smaller mats and was going to try to do a window covering(curtains) with them, but it didn't work out. And the fake paneling, yea, Eeeeuuuw. I have it in my kitchen, but I am redoing it. I'll probably post pics when I get finished.
