If you don't want your tree/any other sculptures to wilt you can make a wire or foil armature...(etc snip)

Wow thanks for the advice!  I'm sort of a sculpy virgin.  I mean, I've made a tiny project or 2 growing up, but this is my first foray into real stuff with it.  I'll definitely keep all this in mind for next time.  Smiley

I made a tree sculpture for the tree swap, and found the easiest thing was to twist the foil. Take a sheet, roll it up, then TWIST it really tight. make a bunch of those and twist them together. Roll your clay out in sheets and cover the branches and trunk like that. I baked my tree guy 3 or 4 times and he didn't wilt once!  Grin

Hmm usually I don't like plastic flower thingy, but this looks very classy and prettily mixed. Nice done!
