Hi, first I love craftster but I have a suggestion, it would be great instead of clicking on the numbers to search through the thread to type in a number if you know what number page a certain item or tutorial is on, because it gets kind of boring when your at 1 but what your looking for is on pg 85.  Just a suggestion.

Hello,

Say there are 200 pages in the Knitting: Completed Projects forum. And let's say I want to go to page 25. It only shows pages 1,2,3 and 200 at the bottom. Is there a way to type in the page number somewhere and immediately access it? If there isn't, I think that would be a nice feature to add.

Thank you

-Olivia

Youll notice that every boards page has a certain number... well, when you go from page to page youll notice that number increases by a set interval. Each page increases by that interval, I think its .3 (the first page is 0, the second .3, the third .6, etc)... So if you want to go to page 25, it would be .720 (the math is basically page number * .3 - .3)

oh.. minus the decimals in it (like when you want to get to page 70, you say 70 * .3 - .3 = 20.7, but the page number is .2070)

There is no simple way to do it... it's a manual process.

Good suggestion!  Smiley

Thanks vanillaxlight and sweets4ever! I'll try what you suggested, vanilla, but I think it would still be a nice feature to add.

Thanks again guys,

Happy Holidays!

What if we had one of those click down menus that had the page numbers? Hmm?

I like this idea...

I miss a feature so hard that it hurts: We have a 'jump to page' option in threads which is nice, but you hardly have more than 15 pages of comments in a thread. On the other hand, on a board, there are so many more pages, and I can't jump to a particular one!
I want to see all of these pages, and being able to jump would make it so much easier to surf a board.

This is something I would really appreciate.

What if you had a "jump to page" drop down list in the discussion boards, not just in individual topics? Right now you can just go to page 1,2,3, and the last page, I think. It would be extremely useful when looking for older topics, as right now you can only move through the board two pages at a time (at least that's the only way I've found).

I need that one too! I am still raking through the entire crochet board by leaving bookmarks, but I'd rather just jump.

Yes, I asked for this once, meaning the boards and not the individual messages. Being new I like to jump around through old boards. I usually go to the address bar, and backspace the numbers back to the period and type in random numbers, such as I know the board has 125 pages and I can type in any multiple of 40, such as 400 and hit enter to go to page 10. 4000 to go to page 100 etc.

You can now do this! The instructions are at the bottom of the Bookmark announcement but it's the same as doing it within a thread. Smiley
