That's the cutest and funniest thing ever! The little face is so cute! I might have to paint a face on my toilet and let the apartment manager keep my move in money! ( I was going to say deposit, but it is a toilet, and I'm not that mean  Wink)

Thank you for all the compliments! The book is

ISBN4529040763

I bought it at http://10.us.yesasia.com/en/index.aspx

I've been buying books from them for about a year, and their service is great. If you order at least 40.00 worth of stuff, the shipping is free. As a result, it's quite slow--takes about a month--but I think it's worth it.

Ohh Myyy Goddd!!  I have to make something like this.  My older brother and I have a teasing relationship which involves stupid childish remarks and gift related to toilet humor.  Since he's so impossible to shop for I've been giving him gag gifts lately (ie. for Christmas he got a copy of "Everybody Poops" and the complimentary masterpiece "The Gas We Pass").  I know you probably think I'm weird, but this would be soooo funny to make for him for Christmas this year.  I wonder if you could make it from a shiny material-to look more porcelain- and use interfacing to keep the bottom and lids to lay together nicely?  Does the book actually have the pattern in it?

Yes, the book does have the pattern. It's full size, but with other patterns overlaying it on the same page, so you need to trace it onto other paper. The instructions are in Japanese, but there are plenty of diagrams so it's pretty easy to figure out what you are supposed to do.
