Shirred Shirt with Tutorial - LOTS OF PICS

Hi everyone.  I was so inspired by everyone's shirred clothing that I decided I HAD to make something -- and soon! I was especially inspired by mickncrispy's tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49544.0

So, I jumped in my car and drove to the nearest craft store (despite it being the height of rush hour in Los Angeles) and bought a yard and a half of green gauzy cotton (at $2.99 a yard, thank you) and some elastic thread and I got BUSY!

Here's what I made:

And a closeup: (I swear I'm not trying to show off my boobs)

And the back view:

I love the whole shirring process and it couldn't be easier. It's awfully forgiving, too.

Here's how I did it! (Please visit mickncrispy's tutorial for the basics on shirring.)

I think it looks kind of 1920s-ish, don't you?

Enjoy! ::Love to Craftster::

I love that shirt.  It is just too cute, I am going to have to dig out the elastic thread today since its my day off and spring is almost here!  Thanks very much!
