I'm planning on getting business cards made up very soon, but I'm kind of undecided on the layout and what information I should be including.

This is my logo, which I think would translate well into a vertical card, though I have mixed feelings about vertical cards in general.

I'm internet based, so no storefront/address or phone number (and those will be changing dramatically in the coming months, if all goes as planned-- as will my name). Including a product description would be too long, since I'll be selling a variety of things (original art prints, my comic book, synthetic hair/dread falls/extensions, printed t-shirts, and plan on expanding in the future), and I'm not sure how to summarize it...

Thoughts/Opinions?

I'm looking into business cards as well...
I'm considering maybe printing half-sized ones, since i wont be putting much on it, business name, logo and www.
I'm thinking it'll definitely be different, and will compensate for the lack of info on it
i love your logo by the way
good luck with your business venture Smiley

great logo!  Smiley

Why not visit www.vistaprint.com for some idea on layout etc. (you can order free cards from them -you just pay postage -there is a small one off fee if you add your own logo) - I'd reccomend not putting in a big order for cards till you are sure of the wording you want and definite about your contact email and website.

As for a short description - I agree thats the hard part, how about something along the lines of handcrafted art and accessories (if you count t-shirts as accessories lol), including a key word/phrase that describes your style.

Here's my business card

thezombified cute logo! I love it!!!
My 2 cents are that you stick with a horizontal card...vertical ones look kind of odd...descriptions are always hard to come up with...I cant even come up with one for me...
Good luck with everything!!!

What's the purpose of a business card? Contact information, that's what! Let's say you get a card with a logo on it, and a website address. Well, that's interesting, but completely unuseful. I would toss the card in no time.

If someone I met gave me the card, I would have to take the trouble to ask the person what they do, write it down, then get their phone, email, and name as well. See, I'm not going to remember you later, but if I have all your information on the card already, something there will restart my memory cells.

A good rule of thumb in description-making is: describe your offerings in 3 words. It's not easy, but it whittles down all the frippery and can clarify your business to other people much more easily.
