Hmm...I don't have a whole lot to say about this one, really. I made a Shaun of the Dead figurine a while back and everyone seemed to love it, so I made some more figurines. I made one of Uma from Kill Bill but unfortunately I don't have nay pictures of her yet. She's currently on display at a local video store I go to, so I was really happy about that. This one is of the character Rick from "the Young Ones", a British comedy show that I'm obsessed with. I gave this one to a guy I have a crush on and he seemed REALLY happy about that. Sooo...here "he" is...

...I'm not too terribly happy with the hair, and I wished I hadn't forgotten to put acne spots on his face...and I'm not very good at making noses, but other than that I'm pretty satisifed. Any comments or constructive criticism are welcome. :-)

ooooh. That's really cool. I haven't seen the show that you're talking about but that's really well done! I like it a lot!

Good luck with the boy  Wink

That's really cool.  Glad to hear your stuff is being displayed somewhere.

(re the acne, you could always add it with paints... either diluted acrylic paints, or oil paints which are more translucent naturally)

Very well done!
You've really captured "the People's Poet" in all his glorious dorkiness!
I'm showing my age now, but I remember being obsessed with that show the first time around! I'd love to see repeats - it hasn't been on TV here for years.
I remember seeing Jennifer Saunders in it once as a mass-murdering hitchhiker - her name was Helen which she hated - something about being to Hell-n-back - I always think of that scene when I meet someone called Helen lol.....

I make polymer clay figurines too, but mine are a bit different.  I just thought I'd give you a tip though, on the making of noses. . .they go a lot easier if you make a proportionate nose-sized pyramid of clay, and then attach it at one side to the face after you've smoothed out the head.  It'll be super pointy at first, but it's clay, you'll have a basic shape and you can change it.  For the nostrils, take a toothpick and insert them in the bottom of the nose where nostrils would be and pull the clay out a little bit, creating the bump on either side of the nose, where the nostrils are.  I hope that makes sense.  If not just ask me!!

Wow, he's fantastic!

I've just been searching through for your Shaun figure, I missed it the first time round. They're both brilliant.
I might have to dig out my polymer clay and see if I can still use it.
