Nothing is so simple that it can't be screwed up

I'm not a quilter per se... but I had all these lovely scraps of flannel in my scrap box.  I decided to make a quilt for my 2-year-old daughter and dug up all the pink and yellow I could find.  The squares are flannel- but I ran out of flannel, so the border is regular cotton fabric.  The backing is white flannel that I found on sale.  I didn't use any batting because the flannel seemed so warm already and my daughter doesn't like heavy blankets.  It took about a week to make- certainly nothing fancy, but it was so rewarding to see my scraps transform into something so pretty and useful  Grin.

Now, I'm not usually a fan of pink, but I do like the way those colours work together! Great job!

Thanks!  I really loved the hot pink with black dots on it.  I wish I had more of that in my pattern- but I didn't have as much of it as I had of of the other fabrics.   I have a lot of respect for quilters- it is not a fast process (for me at least).

That's beautiful!  For not being a quilter, you sure did a wonderful job  Smiley
