In my state, there is a new law requiring a certain amount of volunteer hours to graduate.  While I plan on doing a Project Linus project regardless, I was wondering if hours spent crafting for a charity count as volunteer hours.  Any help would be very appreciated.

Check with your guidance counsellor or the service learning teacher at the school.  I live in Maryland and often fill out service hour papers for kids that volunteer with our Cub Scout Pack.  I know the hours have to be pre-approved by the school and someone must sign the paper for the organization that you did the volunteer hours for.  If you do Linus Blankets they might be able to sign the paper when you deliver the blankets.

Hope this helps.
