oh wow, how can you stand so much red?  Wink
I think it's beautiful too, and that color is great with your eyes.  Don't let the redists get you down.

ok so I am a day later than planned... but I did another hat!

The first one was done with a thickish multi color yarn so I had to take about 3 rows off, and I didn't want a flower on it.

The second one was done today after I saw the two colored one last night, and I decided it looked girly enough to need a flower this time.  I also used a thinner yarn so I got to complete the entire pattern.

and I still really really love this!  thanks so much for posting the pattern!!!

Here are two more that were finished last night.

The white one I made for my girlfriend.

The green one my mom made.

Coolio!

i think i have finally learned how to post pictures.

i have made four of these hats, all with the fuzzy variegated bumpy yarn (i forget what it's actually called).  there was always enough left over in the skein to make a skinny short scarf.  i have been giving the sets to my friends for the last few months.  they absolutely love them.

i look a bit too doe-eyed and close up in this picture. i wasn't feeling well (as evidenced by under eye smudges, yikes!)

Holy Hats Holly!

Wow... your hat looks awwwwsome.  I just bought a bunch of that "fuzzy variegated bumpy yarn" to make these hats with...  I just don't know what hook to use with them.  The package says to use a P hook or something but that's huge.  What size did you use?

PEACE

This is a great pattern! I just recently discovered this section of the crafters forum ( I mainly post in clothing and bags). I have been a crocheter most of my life, but recently picked it up again after a about 3 years hiatus from it. I've been making scarves and learning to make flowers and I came here looking for a new pattern to try adn this hat is absolutely perfect!

I am making mine out of some grey yarn I had lying around.... it should be finished today and then I will get pics up!

Thanks for sharing the pattern.

jessy-
thanks for the feedback!!
i actually used the same size hook beppy's pattern called for (was it an h?).  HOWEVER, this is a tad small and uncomfortable for this yarn.  it works, you just have to be patient.  i found that the yarn + larget hook = elephant man sized hats.  so i stuck with the smaller, cursed a bit, but the results were fabulous.
