you know, even though I'm not nutty about things like fake pearls, I do love Audrey Hepburn and if somebody gave me a box with everything described, I'd be laughing and crying at the same time.

you could also throw in there:
-a moon river mixed cd. lots of bands have covered the song, you could throw a bunch on one disc. maybe some other swank jazz music
-a really good croscant, or even a mix to make one's "breakfast"
-the cat and dog masks (and if you're really brave, a promise for a romp about town"
-if you're of age, some yummy cocktail goods
-an asian lantern, like the one Mickey Rooney is always banging his head on (they're often pretty inexpensive)
-cracker jacks!

oh, and if you decide to go the monkey route, there's some really cute sock monkey flannel at joanne's--good for anything from a little jewelry pouch to pj pants to a pillow case...

I really like those ideas!! Big sunglasses are in, so i'll get her a pair. Some fake pearls, a stuffed Cat, I'm trying to find 'Moon River' online now. Its a hassle.

you could give her "Holly Golightly in a box"- sunglasses, pearls, cigarettes(candy ones if not a smoker or old enough), a fancy eye mask and ear plugs, like the ones she wears when "Fred" first meets her and buzzes her room waking her up, a fake "weather report", you could try and find a big hat like the famous one she wears, get a ton of keys and put them on a big ring, like she has when she finally starts to be responsible. A stuffed toy cat, to be "Cat". Knitting needles and a house blue print, like when she starts knitting. Make her a list of the ten richest men alive today!You could put it all in a box wrapped like a tiffany's box, with the light blue and white.
Does she like all of her other movies too? If so you could just do an "Audrey Hepburn in a box" and incorporate things from all of her movies. I'm a huge fan and have seen every single one like a million times, so if you want to do that idea I can help with more things from the other movies if you need it!

I've got moon river (audrey singing) to put on a cd, im going to get pearls, sunglasses and a danish pastry tomorrow!

I'm going to print out the "Moon River" lyrics and Audrey quotes on some nice card paper.

I'm going to make the box look like a Tiffanys box.

Not sure what else to do.. im raging i didn't get a make up brush set when i saw one in h&m. I'm going to look out for a asian lantern and a stuffed cat, and hopefully find a humorous keyring or something. Anyone have any other suggestions?

DONE! I gave it to her last week and she loved it.



I put in 2 pearl braclets, moonstone earrings, a audrey hepburn decoupaged photoframe, minty chewing gum (holly needs fresh breath after smoking! my mate dosent smoke.. but she likes chewing gumm.. and she gets the joke! lol), an eyebrow & eyelash brush (like holly uses when she's talking to fred when he's in her room), sunglasses (everyone knows that holly wears them) and Audrey Hepburn singing 'Moon River'! All in all i was really happy with it, and it was a success!! Totally unique to what anyone else gave her.
