just wondering if anyone's knit these mittens... if yes, what are the resulting measurements? i am looking for a pattern for my unusually small hands. looking for something using dpns (to challenge myself!), that will fit and looks nice. unfortunately i haven't come up with anything. i also don't really want to look into altering existing patterns because i'm sure i won't do that well! anyways, any answers/suggestions would be appreciated. thank you!

never tried that pattern.  I have a mitten tutorial though that custom fits: http://djinnj.livejournal.com/98759.html

I knit about a million pairs of those for Christmas. They fit my teeny hands... five inches from base of palm to top of middle finger.

They're two and a quarter.

Just a note, though... I have a wicked tight gauge, and so normally for patterns I move a size up.

For this, I didn't and just stayed with sevens... so, it's like I knit them on size six needles.
