$40 for a bobby pin?!!!  Move over Kate Spade...we can make these ourselves!

Shells are going to be huge this summer.  Dig out some of your small shells or go to the dollar store and buy a bag.  Paint them with a clear coat.  Glue the shell to a flat back bobby pin.  You can purchase the bobby pins at http://www.rings-things.com.  I use clear Fabri Tac glue.

Enjoy!

Very pretty! $40 for a bobby pin yikes! Doesn't make you angry that famous designers can sell simple things for so much money? I'm sure if you tried to sell those for $40 people would laugh at you.

Good job. I'll have to make a pair. I have millions of shells I don't know what to do with.
