I was clicking around on the Anthropologie website and found this absolute beaut...

at http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=8881&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=267&iMainCat=11

There's no way I could afford to pay $150 for this (nor would I really want to, you know, for moral reasoms...), but I'm looking for a new project, and this seems like a good challenge.

Soooo, I'm calling on all of you lace knitters, how can I go about recreating this pattern? I have a good model on which to base the shape, but I'm absolutely rubbish as far as lace patterning goes... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm no expert in lace patterns, but just find a good book (like the barbara Walker Treasury of lace ..?) and find a pattern you like, no ?
If you have a good base for the shape, then you'll be all set !

Oh, but most important : this sweater is just beautifull !!! Especially on the pic where it's worn by the model !!! I'm in love !!!!

What a lovely sweater! Maybe you could post this question in the knittersreview.com lace forum. I can't help ya, but if you do make it, I'd love to see!

I love that sweater and had thought about recreating it when I saw it on their website too.  I'm not sure about the lace pattern either right now, but I am definitely willing to try and figure it out with you.
