It has been a while since I posted one of my projects. I got fed up with craftsters who live in my area literally profitting off my ideas they stole off this very site. (yes...it's true. two instances actually). Because of this I decided I am only going to post things made from patterns, kits, or what have you. No original ideas anymore 'cause stealin' ideas to make money just ain't right! Anyway, enough of that. I made these dresses in the past two weeks. The first is from an old pattern of my moms from the 70s and I am too lazy to go look at see what the number is.

The pictures are bad because of poor lighting and I look like I have no boobs because I am bra-less.

the bodice:

a close up of the fabric:

the second dress is a recent halter-dress pattern i bought. I had to adjust it because pattern sizing lies and a size 10 does not fit a 32-25-34 without falling to the ground. I added the two layers of tulle underneath too. It's star wars if you can't tell.

the fabric:

that's it for now. I might post the other dresses i have made recently when i decide to not be lazy. thanks for looking. DONT COPY ME! (haha, just kidding, I'm not that mean)

oh yes, in addition, the first dress oddly enough is a middle-age-man-magnet. Explain that one!

Now the wintertime is coming,
The windows are filled with frost.
I went to tell everybody,
But I could not get across.
Well, I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be your boss.
Don't say I never warned you
When your train gets lost.

Those are really amazing.  The dresses themselves are brilliant, and the fabrics are SO amazing.    (And much love for tulle.)

IN ADDITION
your measurements are almost the same as mine.
So...points for you.  Cheesy

thanks Smiley Yeah so if those are your measurements I would recommend making a size 8. Patterns lie. You think i would have learned that by now...

Your comic dress will certainly generate some avid readers, you "Middle-aged-man magnet", you!  Wink And using Star Wars material for a dress is definitely this side of BRILLIANCE. Kudos for both.

But that's just sad that people are using your ideas and originality as their own -- and especially for profit! That's really lame. I'm sorry.  Sad

I have that Star Wars fabric! But mine's just a little pillow. It looks awesome as a dress!

And sorry you've had so much trouble with people stealing your ideas and selling them. That's just so wrong!  Undecided

I hate it when people steal ideas and then make money off of it!  I mean, if they asked me first I'd probably say yes, but to just copy it is wrong.  Oh well.

Where did you get those great fabrics?
