Mum made this beautiful little bag out of an old shirt of mine and some scraps of material. Here's one side and the other side.  I LOVE this gorgeous patchwork pattern.

The inside is all pink and satiny. The handles have been made out of a bit of the shirt which had pattern on it, so it looks decorative.

Here is the closure. Even this is made from gorgeous dyed thread!

Isn't it just gorgeous?

This is absolutely gorgeous. I've never seen anything like it! What is the technique called?  How would one learn how to do this? It's spectacular!

Thanks!  Smiley
It's called "Cathedral Window". I found a website here which has instructions: http://www.hutchal.clara.net/curtains/cathy.htm
Wasn't sure whether to post this in the Quilting forum, actually.
