This purse is how I found Craftster!  Last autumn I was making a purse for my daughter and while trying to find an easier way to do the zipper, I found e.r.i.k.a's tutorial for the Lined Zippered Pouch.

And I fell in love with Craftster!!  Smiley

Here's a picture of the purse:

The lace-up detail turned out great, first time I ever used grommets.  The pouch is lined with the same fabric as I set in behind the lacing, and I put a pocket inside as well.  My daughter loves it!

Since then I have made a few Jordy bags and a couple of the Rounder Roomy bags including one for myself with a kanzashi flower pin.  It is so nice to have so many fabulous tutorials to choose from!! THANK YOU CRAFTSTERS!!!

What a cute bag.  I'm sure your daughter loves it.  Good job with the grommits.  I had to do them for a project once and they didn't turn out so hot.

Thanks!

The lacing is just decorative, so the grommets don't have to do a lot of work.  I don't know how well they would hold up if they did!!
