Here you have it, 100% cotton single crochet, cotton stuffed, reusable tampons! Check out the thread about reusable pads... read some of the comments if you need some encouraging!
I was inspired by a comment by Taloola on about page 48 or so for these guys, yes they might look uncomfortable but I don't think they will be... I'll try them in about a week and modify if anyone is interested on how they went!

Ok, well if you follow the thread here, you will understand a little more about the revolution that is happening! Smiley  anyway, here are some samples of what you'll see, and there will be organic and I am also looking into hemp silk...

If you have any P's or Q's PLEASE feel free to PM me or comment here... I am happy to put links in to the different sites I have found educational etc....
Thanks everyone for your encouragement to just do this!!!

Cool, let us know how they work. I'll have to make some of my own. It would be nice to get organic unbleached yarn.

I don't know but I'm sure it exists somewhere. I'll search and post a link.

That's a good idea! Maybe (for the knitters out there!), knit like an icord (that can be stuffed with rags or something like that...)

There's an organic cotton yarn called Inca Cotton that might work- when I was at my LYS though, it was kind of rough.

Ok ladies, I am also going to consult my OB and find out if there would be any concerns (I can't imagine what kind...) but I will let you know if he says anything. I think I'll ask about care too, if there might be something we should think about there too. I like the organic cotton yarn idea. You know, I stuffed mine with cloth diapers. I just cut a lonng strip and rolled it up inside before I sealed it up! I think the organic cotton batting would work too, but diapers is what I had handy! So you'll have to wait about a week to have preliminary test results... I'll let you all know!

Pakucho makes a very soft organic cotton, that's undyed and unbleached, as does Blue Sky. Elann used to sell the Pakucho, but it looks like they're out now.

I think that's an awesome idea....
