What exactly are you doing?  Are you girly girls or tomboys?

Girly-girls I picture in ruffles and lace with a big bow in your hair.  Think of the dress that Alice wears in Alice in Wonderland but with more frills.

Tomboys - matching overalls with pigtails or braids.

How about combining the ideas?  Make very girly tomboyish outfits.  Use colored overalls (not blue jean ones) and add lace or ruffles.  Then put a big bow in your hair.

If you really would prefer to do a dress...wear bloomers!  Have ones that go to about your knees with lace around the bottom.  That way when you are upside down, you won't be exposed and you will still be girly.

I was totally gonna say bloomers and big ruffly babydoll dresses with petticoats. Pigtails, either braided or curled.
