Hey those are WAY AWESOME!  They look totally great!  Also, I've been seeing alot of jewelry with crocheted (is that even a verb?) accents on it, in fashion mags.  You should sell this stuff.  It's really really nice.

I can't remember if it is a hdc or a dc. It was really easy.
I will try to make a tutorial tonight.

I will post another photo i have that has a AA battery next to the earrings, so you can see how big they are.

Thaks for all your great comments Smiley

I may have to dust off my tiny crochet hook for this one. Gorgeous earrings, nice job!

It looks like dc.  With maybe a sc and a hdc at each end to transition into the wider green stitches.

Ok...Bare with me on this "tutorial"

I started with tying a knot onto the hoop earring.

Here is the tricky part... Put the crochet hook under the hoop and grab the thread and bring the thread into the hoop. now you should have one loop on the hook.

with one loop on the hook, stick the hook through the loop and  Yarn over come back through the hoop again, yarn over and pull through both.

repeat this process until you have the desired amount of stitches on the hoop. Tie a little knot.(this is where i would drop a little crazy glue to hold the stitches on)

This is where i changed colors. i tied a simple little knot.

go in between 2 stitches and pull the thread through adn double crochet till you have reached the desired amount of stitches.

I hope you like my earrings.
Here is another pair i made - same process, but then single crocheted another row(black thread).

Here is the kind of thread i used - i got it at A.C. Moore (its just like Michaels, but better) in Philadelphia.

I used a US00/2.7mm hook and here is the cotton thread i bought at wal mart.

Thanks for all your imput!!!
