hi there,

long time lurker, first time posting. i've just completed my first project on dpn's..a beanie using 1 skein of noro kureyon using this pattern.

and oh boy i'm in love love love...

but the beanie is a little too tiny for my taste..i think my gauge was off and i used needles a tiny bit too small, so i was thinking of blocking it to stretch it out a bit.

i've been reading articles on blocking, but i couldn't find one specifically geared towards a beanie..should i just stretch it and pin it? or try to stuff it? or??

by the way, this is my first time blocking something too.

thanks for reading, and any input would be appreciated  Smiley

I would stretch and pin it.  If you happen to have a hat form or one of those styrofoam heads that is your size, you could use that.   The hat should respond well to blocking.  Just remember to use lukewarm water!

I've heard of using a balloon or a bowl the approx. size of your head.
