This is also my first sewing project, I finally learned how to run my sewing machine, yay!   Grin  It's made out of felt, and the closure is actually "sew on" velcro, glued on...I couldn't sew in that tight of a circle.  I was going to use the button as the closure, but wanted something more sturdy just in case it popped off.  I left it on there so the strap wasn't so boring.

Now I am going to make a sunglasses case, cell phone cases, etc.  I really wanted to use the monkey patterns on this one, but they were a teensy bit too big...hopefully they'll fit on one of the others.

I'm impressed AND inspired. My digital camera is getting all dinged up with no cover! [runs off to buy felt]

Thanks everyone Smiley

We haven't had a case for our camera at all, so when I go looking for it now I'm still looking for silver, yesterday I passed the little purple case five times before realizing that IS the camera.

I love felt.  It's so easy to stitch on AND it was on sale and only 12 cents a square.  So fun.

I really like this!  I just got a camera and I'd love to have something like this.  Different, custom, cool.

Great job on your stitching!!  So even! I love the color contrast between the purple and the black and accent colors/red!

I have all of the stuff to make a Palm pilot cover I just need to suck it up and do it! It takes me so long to thread my sewing machine that I typically get frustrated and give up!  You may have motivated me to FINALLY get out the step ladder and get my sewing machine down from the top shelf in the closet!!!
